A 25-year-old pharmacist reportedly made an attempt to rape a woman in the parking lot of a multiplex in Saket after luring her on the pretext of getting her a job.
Mohammad Sajid allegedly offered the woman soft drinks laced with sedatives before trying to force himself on her in his car, police said on Sunday.
The woman, however, raised an alarm, after which security guards nabbed Sajid.

A divorcee, Sajid lives in Jamia Nagar and is currently looking for a job after completing his degree in Pharmacy.
The woman, who is also divorced, lives nearby.
Police said she had been looking for a job after she separated from her husband.

“A common friend introduced her to Sajid and he promised to help her get a job,” said a senior police officer.
On Saturday, he asked her to come outside the multiplex in South Delhi’s Saket. The accused asked her to get into his car and offered her a drink that was allegedly spiked.
On the pretext of discussing her job, he drove to a lonely spot in the parking lot and attempted to force himself on her.
Quoting the woman’s complaint, the officer said she had not totally lost consciousness when the man began misbehaving.
“She began screaming for help. That drew the attention of some security guards in the parking lot. They rushed to the woman’s help, which prompted Sajid to attempt an escape,” said the officer.
The security men, however, nabbed Sajid and beat him up before informing the police. A police team arrived at the spot and arrested him.
Sajid has been booked for rape.
