One held for murder

The Delhi Police have arrested a man in connection with Tuesday’s incident, where a man was shot dead and his sister stabbed in Ambedkar Nagar.

The victim and accused Mantosh belong to rival gangs. The police have set up a picket to prevent further casualties in families of the warring neighbours.

Lewd comments

The woman who was critically injured has said in her statement that the incident blew out of proportion when her sister spotted the neighbours outside their home and threatened to file a complaint. The men allegedly passed lewd comments and tried to grab her hand. She told her family about it, resulting in a clash that left six people injured.

DCP (south-east) Romil Baaniya said the statements of other family members were being recorded.
