‘We have extended outside support to them on certain issues’

On a day when the Aam Aadmi Party staked its claim to form a government in Delhi, the Congress reiterated that its outside support to the Arvind Kejriwal-led party is issue-based, not unconditional.

Congratulating the AAP on deciding to form the government, the outgoing Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit said here on Monday that the Congress support “is not unconditional. We have extended outside support to them on certain issues.”

‘Hope they fulfil promise’

The Congress leader, who lost to Mr. Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency, said the AAP should fulfil its promises.

“I just hope that they are able to fulfil the promises they made ahead of the elections. If they are able to bring relief to people, well and good.”
