Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that people of the India should work together to ensure that Narendra Modi does not become Prime Minster of the country again as under him, democracy was under threat and there would be no polls after 2019. Drawing a comparison with Adolf Hitler, the CM said that Mr. Modi was using the German dictators tactics to run India and silence anybody who questions him by calling them “anti-national”.
“Today, every patriot should have only one motive -- to stop the Modi government from coming back to power again at any cost. If the BJP comes to power in 2019, Mr. Modi will be the Prime Minister forever,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that the people of the country pay tax and the government works for the people and must be accountable to them by informing them about where the money is being spent. But the Modi government was involved in corruption by favouring rich businessmen and was trying to silence anybody who asked them questions, Mr. Kejriwal alleged.
“What kind of a country are we living in? In the name of Hindutva, Muslims are being beaten up. I am a Hindu and have read the Ramayana, the Gita and the Hanuman Chalisia. Nowhere in any of these texts is it written that Muslims must be beaten up,” said Mr. Kejriwal.

He said that the BJP was a party of hooligans and like the Nazi party, has people to create fear in society so that nobody would question Hitler’s policy. The same method was being used by the Modi government to silence minorities and those asking questions, the Chief Minister added.
Mr. Kejriwal was speaking at a function to unveil a book “Vada Faramoshi”, a compilation of replies under the Right to Information Act to queries on the Central government’s works. The book was written by Neeraj Kumar, Sanjoy Basu and Shashi Shekhar.
