The three municipal corporations in Delhi have released the dates for the election of its mayors and deputy mayors, and also for the oath-taking ceremonies of the newly elected council members.
The meeting to elect the mayor, the deputy, and a six-member Standing Committee for the east corporation has been scheduled for May 22. The date for the north civic body is May 18.
The date for the south civic body is May 19.

“In the term of five years, the Mayor’s post is reserved for ladies for the first year. In the meetings, the newly elected councillors will be administered the oath,” the corporations announced in a statement.
