In a step towards sensitising the public on important social and health issues through the works of various renowned artists, a group art show, ‘APARAJITA - Indomitable Spirit of Women’ is on at the Visual Art Gallery, India Habitat Centre.

The show exhibits works by an impressive array of artists including Anjolie Ela Menon, Arpana Caur, Gogi Saroj Pal, G.R. Iranna, Jogen Chowdhury, Jatin Das, Niren Sen Gupta, Niladri Paul, Sudip Roy, Sanjay Bhattacharya and Vikash Kalra, among others.

It seeks to sensitise the public on important social and health issues, using the platform of cultural heritage.

The select works of the artists will seek to promote the cause of girl child and the masters’ works that are usually confined to retrospectives and one-man shows will be on display in a group show that showcases how, over time, different artists have approached the theme with their signature strokes and styles.

The exhibition will be on till September 2.
