Govind allegedly told the police that when he was roaming near his house, two persons came and tried to snatch his belongings. When he resisted and started running, he knocked on the doors of nearby houses for help and entered one Kumar’s residence. Kumar thought that he was a child lifter and thrashed him along with Yadav and Chand. The police said Govind was discharged after treatment but later complained of uneasiness after which he was admitted again.

After post-mortem, the body was handed over to his family, the police added.
