IGNOU holds another placement drive

The Campus Placement Cell (CPC) of the Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) organised yet another placement drive on Thursday.

Around 432 candidates were interviewed by four companies, which included Go-Ibibo, Convergys, Policy Bazaar and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance.

Manoj Kulshrestha, director in-charge (CPC), said: “The CPC is conducting one mega drive each month in different parts of the country, barring June and December which are months of examination. The body is continuously organising placement drives for female students as cabin crew for a leading airline at different Regional Centres. In this month, six drives were conducted in western India.”

Out of the 432 candidates who sat for placements, 86 were shortlisted or selected. Go-ibibo selected 24 students, Policy Bazaar selected 22 students, Convergys selected seven students and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance selected 33 students.

While Policy Bazaar and Convergys gave on the spot offer letter to successful candidates with a CTC between Rs. 21,000 to Rs. 25,000 per month, ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company Ltd. gave packages of Rs. 1.8 lakh per annum to selected students.
