HC asks govt to submit status report

The Delhi High Court on Monday asked the city government as to how private unaided schools in the Capital would implement the 7th Pay Commission recommendations without hiking their fees.

A Bench of Acting Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice C. Hari Shankar directed the government to submit a status report on the implementation of the pay panel recommendations in private unaided schools.

The court said the government would have to monitor the implementation of the recommendations and should not wait for teachers’ complaints to take any action.
