Govt. offers free pilgrimage to Kartarpur

The Delhi government on Tuesday decided to provide free pilgrimage to selected people travelling to Kartarpur in Pakistan under the Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana.

“The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal... the cost of the pilgrimage, including about ₹1,600 that has to be given to cross the border, will be borne by the Delhi government,” said Jarnail Singh, vice-chairman of the Punjabi Academy.

He also said that a ‘Guru Nanak Digital Museum’ will be set up at a cost of ₹10 crore at Dilli Haat in Janakpuri.
