A German woman was allegedly molested by an auto-rickshaw driver and subsequently robbed by another man at Lajpat Nagar in South Delhi while she was returning to her residence in Greater Kailash.
The incident took place on International Women’s Day (March 8) but was only reported to the police on March 12.
None of the accused have been arrested so far.

According to the police, the victim was in her early 30s and had been pursuing her internship from an institute on Barakhamba Road, Connaught Place, for the past four months.
The victim, who was to return to Germany in April, said on the day of the incident, she had hired an auto-rickshaw from Max Muller Bhawan on Feroz Shah Road to go to her rented accommodation in Greater Kailash.
“Around 10-30 p.m. the driver of the vehicle halted on the pretext of searching for a particular tool kept under the rear seat. The driver, according to the victim, started touching her deliberately by pretending that he was searching for the tool,” said a police officer.

Frightened by the driver’s behaviour, the victim got off the vehicle immediately and tried to raise an alarm. But she got another shock when an over-speeding two-wheeler suddenly appeared on the scene and the riders snatched her purse and sped away.
She ran behind the two-wheeler to note down the registration number but in vain.
By the time she returned, the auto-rickshaw driver had also fled the spot. The victim then walked down the stretch and reached her house.
She reportedly consulted her friends before approaching the police.
