Dy CM seeks Delhi’s share of ₹6,000 cr. from Central taxes

Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, who also holds the finance portfolio, on Friday demanded the Capital’s share of ₹6,000 crore from Central taxes in light of the fact that Delhi had been getting only ₹325 crore for the last 18 years.

Mr. Sisodia also demanded the creation of a separate fund for Delhi municipal corporations on the lines of other State civic bodies at a pre-budget meeting of Finance Ministers, convened by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, here. Ms. Sitharaman is scheduled to present her maiden budget on July 5 in the Lok Sabha.
