Delhi University’s top colleges have completely shut their doors to most of their courses by closing admissions across all their streams and marginally reducing their cut-offs in the courses still left open for admissions. Only an exceptionally few have re-opened admissions in some of their good courses in the third cut-off list that was released late on Monday night.

Hindu College still has its History (Honours) course open but with the same cut-off percentage of 99 to 91. The coveted B.Com. (Honours) course is still open for OBC admissions with a marginally reduced cut-off in the range of 94.5 to 91.5, with the English (Honours) course also up for grabs at a reduced cut-off at 80.25 per cent.

Shri Ram College of Commerce has shut its doors to all courses. It has, however, re-opened admissions to its B.Com. (Honours) course with a reduced cut-off in the range of 97.75 to 95.75 owing to several withdrawals after the third list. However, B.Com. and Hindi (Honours) are the only other courses left open in this college.

There is also good news for those wanting to clinch a seat in Hans Raj College as they have marginally reduced their overall cut-offs and have kept open all their courses, except Hindi and English (Honours).

The all-girls Miranda House has closed all its courses except B.A. (Programme) Functional Hindi and Sanskrit (Honours). Likewise, Daulat Ram College has kept open only its B.A. and Sanskrit (Honours) courses.

The scene is almost the same in the South Campus colleges, with the all-girls Lady Shri Ram College keeping open only three courses with marginally reduced cut-offs at 96.25 for B.Com. (Honours), 96.25 for Economics (Honours) and 45 for Sanskrit (Honours).

Some good tidings await those hoping to get into Sri Venkateswara College with eight of its courses still up for grabs with marginally reduced cut-offs. Its B.Com. (Honours) is commanding 97 to 96 per cent and Economics (Honours) 96.25 to 95.25 per cent.

The other all-girls college, Gargi, has only its Sanskrit (Honours) open and Kamala Nehru College is still offering admissions in B.Com, Philosophy (Honours) and Sanskrit (Honours).

There are not many courses open in the Science stream either. At Hindu College only its OBC admissions are open for Chemistry (Honours) with a cut-off of 92.33 per cent. Hans Raj College has kept open its Zoology (Honours) with a percentage of 89, Electronics (Honours) at 93.33, Computer Science (Honours) at 98 to 96 and B.Sc. Life Sciences at 86 per cent.

Ramjas College has kept open its Physics (Honours) at 94 per cent, Statistics (Honours) at 93 to 91 per cent and B.Sc. Physical Sciences at 82 per cent.
