The CBSE Class XII results came as a pleasant surprise for a pair of twins in Gurgaon. The sisters ended up scoring exactly the same aggregate — 93 per cent.
“Though our parents hoped we end up scoring the same marks, this was least expected. We were pleasantly surprised,” Harshita, the “elder” “sister, told The Hindu .
Both Harshita and Ankita are students of non-medical stream at DAV School in Sector 14 here.

Though both scored 465 out of 500 in their board exams, the scores in individual subjects differ at bit.
“While both of us have scored 95 marks in physics and physical education, we scored differently in other subjects. While Ankita has scored 87 in maths, I scored 95. Though in English she scored 93, six marks higher then me,” said Harshita.
The similarity, however, does not end here. The twins had scored the same aggregate in IIT JEE (Main) earlier this year, but failed to qualify the exam. “We both scored 79 out of 360 in IIT JEE as well,” added Harshita.

Harshita said she did not expect to score the same marks in Class XII board exams as Ankita, who always got more than her. “Ankita has always performed better than me. She scored 92 per cent in matriculation, while I got only 82 per cent. In Class XI, I got four marks less than her,” said Harshita.
Their father R.S. Chauhan, a property consultant, earlier worked as civil engineer with DLF.
Despite the same score, the twins have different hobbies. “We are fraternal twins. We look more like friends than sisters. Also, we have different personalities and hobbies. While Ankita gets stressed easily, I am more happy-go-lucky. I love dance, while she loves drawing,” said Harshita.
