To celebrate the urban, rural cultures

Bringing together Delhi’s urban and rural traditions, the city government on Thursday announced a two-day urban folk festival that will take place on Saturday and Sunday in Shahpur Jat village in south Delhi.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA from Greater Kailash Saurabh Bharadwaj, in whose constituency Shahpur Jat is located, said Delhi has 369 villages, many of which are now urbanised.

In order to celebrate the urban and rural cultures, the Art, Cultural and Languages Department and the Tourism Department will be holding the two-day festival.
