CRPF constable found hanging

A 23-year-old female CRPF constable allegedly hanged herself at a women’s hostel in West Delhi’s Vikaspuri on Thursday.

Constable Laxmi was found hanging by the grill in the bathroom by her colleague, who then raised an alarm. “She was a resident of Rajasthan and was found hanging around 1 a.m. on the third floor of the CRPF hostel,” a police officer said.

A police officer claimed that Laxmi was stationed in the area along with her team owing to high security measures in the city.

‘Brought dead’

She was declared brought dead at the hospital. No suicide note was recovered from her possession, said the police.

Laxmi was inducted into CRPF in 2010 and was posted in 135 battalion of the force. Her husband is also a CRPF personnel. The two got married a year ago.
