The Capital experienced the coldest weather of the season so far, with Delhi University recording a maximum temperature of 15.1 degrees Celsius, followed by the Ridge area at 15.8 degrees, Lodhi Road at 16.1 degrees and Palam at 17.6 degrees. The overall maximum temperature in the city was 17 degrees.
The overall minimum temperature was recorded at six degrees, with Delhi University recording 6.5 degrees, the Ridge area recording 6.4 degrees, Lodhi Road recording six degrees and Palam 6.5 degrees.
“It is not expected to get any colder, but that might change towards the beginning of next month. Then the temperature might dip even further,” said Metrological Department scientist S. C. Bhan.

Dr. Bhan added that they were not expecting fog, except early in the morning on Saturday which was a good thing to keep temperatures from spiralling downwards.
The maximum temperature on Saturday is expected to be 19 and the minimum 16.3. The sun is also expected to set early by about 5.30 p.m. “The maximum is two degrees less than normal for this time of the year and the minimum is also one degree less than normal,” said the weather department duty officer.
