“During initial investigation, it was found that the two suspects identified as Avdhesh (19) and a juvenile had allegedly called the victim on his mobile phone at 1.37 p.m. on April 16. On Friday, we had brought them for questioning,” said Vaibha Krishan, Senior Superintendent Of Police, Ghaziabad.

During interrogation, the duo told the police that they had called the victim to Vaishali and had asked him to get money as they wanted to pay their debts.

They also revealed the location of the body, the police said.

“However, the victim did not take money along with him. They had an argument over the issue after which the accused duo planned to kidnap him and demand money from his father,” Mr. Krishan said.

They offered Mr. Sharma a laced drink and then allegedly took him on a motorcycle to Greater Noida.

‘Fell off bike’

The victim accidentally fell off the bike when the accused started to panic, the police said.

“They attacked the victim with a blunt stone-like object on his head and face. The items were recovered around 2 p.m. on Friday from Ecotech buried in a vacant plot,” Mr. Krishan added.

The accused are deceased’s friends, the police said. However, the victim’s family members are unaware about the held, the police added.

Hunt on for one

One more accused is involved in the planning, however, he is absconding and teams have been formed to arrest him, the police added.
