CISF seizes 6 kg gold from passengers, staff at Delhi airport

The Central Industrial Security Force has seized 6 kg gold from two travellers at the IGI Airport in two separate incidents.

On Wednesday, around 9:45 a.m., based on a tip-off, the CISF and intelligence staff followed a passenger named Kudathamkandi Nassar, a resident of Kerala, who had arrived from Dubai.

The CISF intercepted him near a washroom at the international arrival pier, while he was handing over nearly 3 kg gold biscuits to a ground staff. The same evening, another passenger named Nasir Husain, a resident of Uttar Pradesh arrived from Riyadh. He met an aviation staff.

Finding their activities suspicious, the CISF followed them. The duo entered a washroom near the international transfer security hold area. The duo was intercepted and on physical search, the team recovered 26 gold bars weighing nearly 3 kg hidden inside the shoes.
