The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered a case against certain officials of the Delhi Development Authority and some property dealers for alleged irregularities in revival of cancelled DDA flat allotments.
Preliminary investigations by the agency have indicated that the DDA officials in question had in conspiracy with property dealers and brokers fraudulently revived cancelled flat allotments under various categories. Accordingly, a case under various provisions of the Indian Penal Code and the Prevention of Corruption Act was filed.
“It is alleged that during 2007-2008, the allottees concerned were contacted by brokers who in conspiracy with the accused DDA officials moved applications in the DDA on their behalf to revive the allotments.

The allottees had mentioned in their applications to the DDA about change of their residential addresses, but had not received the allotment letters. On that basis, they sought afresh allotment of flats at old rates,” said a CBI spokesperson.
After registration of the case, searches at various places were conducted in Delhi, Noida and Gurgaon.
The documents seized during the operation are being examined.
