Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Legislative Assembly, Vijender Gupta on Thursday met President Pranab Mukherjee seeking his intervention in the current deadlock over governance in the national Capital.
Mr. Gupta met the President along with two other BJP MLAs, Om Prakash Sharma and Jagdish Pradhan.
He maintained that the row is the consequence of lack of proper understanding of Constitutional provisions and the Delhi Government Rules by the Kejriwal Government.

“We pointed out that the administrative and intra-personal atmosphere in the Delhi Secretariat during the last three months has become unbecoming of a Government office. The best practices of good governance are being thrown to winds. Hence, we urged the President to intervene at the earliest for the betterment of the people of Delhi,” said Vijender Gupta who is BJP’s MLA from Rohini.
After meeting the President, Mr. Gupta said that the meeting was held in a positive and receptive mood.
