Autopsy: Gurugram woman had internal injuries in liver

She was brought to FMRI by her friend on Monday night

The autopsy report of the 23-year-old woman, who was declared brought dead at Fortis Memorial Research Institute (FMRI) here on Monday, has revealed that she had sustained internal injuries in the liver but had no external injury.

The accused in the case is still on the run.

The post-mortem was conducted by a board of two doctors and the report had indicated traces of internal bleeding due to liver damage, but the cause of death was not clear, said Gurugram Police spokesperson Subhash Boken.

“The viscera has been preserved and sent for further examination. The police will take further opinion on the possible cause of death. The accused is still on the run,” said Mr. Boken.

The woman, a resident of Kadipur industrial area, was brought to FMRI by her friend Ravinder late on Monday night.

The woman was preparing for Union Public Service Commission examination and staying at a paying guest (PG) house in Delhi’s Mukherjee Nagar.

She had returned home on Sunday, since Monday was a holiday. She left home for her PG on Monday evening, but instead checked into a guest house in Sector 46 with Ravinder. However, she had told her mother over the phone around 10 p.m. that she had reached her PG.

The family got to know about her death on Tuesday morning after the police informed them.

The woman’s father, in the FIR, said that Ravinder had abducted his daughter and murdered her.

He also said that Ravinder had been harassing her for a long time. The accused is a resident of Saraswati Enclave in Sector 10.

A murder case has been registered at Sector 10 Police Station in connection with the case.
