Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) Dinesh Kumar Gupta said Assistant Sub-Inspector Shiv Ram, head constable Rajesh and constable Ram Manohar were on duty at Madhu Vihar Chowk in Dwarka when they spotted two men on a motorcycle trying to snatch a person’s bag around 8.45 a.m.

“They rushed to the spot. The two accused tried to flee as soon as they saw them,” Mr. Gupta said.

Constable Nagesh, posted in the district, was near the spot in a police vehicle. He waylaid the accused, who lost balance and fell on the road, the police said.
