AAP, BJP misleading voters with a poster war: JD(U)

The Janata Dal (United) on Tuesday accused both the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the BJP of attempting to mislead voters through their a ‘poster war’ in the run up to the civic polls.

JD(U)’s national general secretary and Delhi in-charge Sanjay Jha said that the parties were putting up posters against each other in an attempt to deviate the attention of the general public from “failure to deliver on promises” made by both parties.

“Both parties are attempting to hide their respective failures by engaging each other like this. Their leaders know that the people of Delhi are decisively in favour of change and are scared,” Mr. Jha said.

‘What’s the goal?’

Stating that support for Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who was recently in the Capital to canvass for the party’s candidates, was quite evident in the city, Mr. Jha questioned what both parties wanted to achieve from the ‘poster war’.

“What does the AAP want to prove through these Vijender Gupta versus Arvind Kejriwal posters? Does it believe that Delhi has no other alternative than them? They are gravely mistaken if they think that the people of Delhi will fall for these illusions,” Mr. Jha said.
