“We want justice for our friend”, “Are you saying that no one killed Aarushi?”, “Stop the blame game”, said placards held by friends and family of murdered teenager Aarushi Talwar during a candlelight protest organised at Jantar Mantar here on Thursday, asking for the case to be re-investigated.
Around 50 people, including Aarushi’s parents Rajesh and Nupur Talwar and members of the Indian Dental Association were present at the march.
“We have assembled here to get justice for Aarushi. That is all that we want,” said Mr. Talwar. Aarushi’s mother refused to speak to the media.

Her uncle Dinesh Talwar said: “We want justice for Aarushi, justice for her parents. We want this case to be brought to its logical conclusion.”
Aarushi’s friends lit candles around her photograph and garlanded it.
Fourteen- year-old Aarushi was found murdered under mysterious circumstances in her parents’ Jalvayu Vihar apartment in Noida in May 2008. The family’s domestic help Hemraj was also found murdered on the apartment’s terrace a day later.

“We want justice. The Central Bureau of Investigation closed the case without any conclusion…We want it to be re- investigated from the start…Everyone is innocent unless proven guilty,” said a classmate of Aarushi.
The CBI had moved a Ghaziabad court on December 29 last seeking permission to close the Aarushi murder as an unsolved case on grounds of lack of conclusive evidence.
“We strongly support the Talwar family. The CBI should stop putting false allegations on the family. I personally know Rajesh Talwar since the last 10 years and know for sure that he couldn’t have done any such thing,” said IDA member Vineet Bansal, who also participated in the march.
Aarushi’s friends also put up posters with their messages and collected signatures of everyone present at the spot.
