According to the post release plan prepared by the Management Committee of the Place of Safety, the juvenile in conflict with law in the December 16 gang-rape case, who is all set to walk free on coming Sunday, will be provided financial as well as logistical support for initiating him into a cutting and tailoring job.
The Department of Women and Child Development of the Delhi Government will provide him a one-time financial aid of Rs. 10,000 and persuade a non-government organisation to donate him a sewing machine as part of the rehabilitation plan.
``The juvenile should lead a new life with a new identity provided by the Government… to avoid any backlash or violent reaction,’’ the post release rehabilitation says.

``For sustaining the business for an initial period of at six months and meeting expenditures like rent of the shop and tailoring material, the juvenile needs to be supported financially jointly by his parents and the Government,’’ the plan further says.
The plan also says that the shop to be run by the juvenile should have a sign board.
The juvenile has become an adult during his stay at the reformatory. He is now more than 20-year-old. He was about 17 year when the Juvenile Justice Board had held him guilty and sent him to the observation home for three years on December 21, 2012.
