Mother stages baby’s kidnapping

: An unusual story surfaced from north Delhi’s Kashmere Gate when it was found that the mother of a kidnapped baby had staged the drama to implicate a man, said the police.

The incident was reported on Tuesday. It is alleged that the woman conspired with one Shiv Ram to get her daughter kidnapped. She then claimed that the one-and-half-year old girl disappeared around 9 p.m. while playing outside their home. An FIR was registered on the basis of her complaint.

The police traced Shiv Ram to Old Delhi railway station where he was standing with the child,” said DCP (North) Jatin Narwal.
