Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit chaired a high-level meeting on Friday to review the preparedness for the upcoming Commonwealth Games.

At the meeting, the Chief Minister said the blame game and the attitude of passing on responsibility would not be tolerated. As some officials reported that road cutting and digging by various agencies was causing hindrance in completion of projects, the Chief Minister directed that no such activity would be allowed after July 31.

It was also pointed out that accumulation of debris was a major issue and fresh digging of roads was adding to the problem. The Chief Minister then directed all agencies including the PWD, MCD and NDMC to coordinate the work on lifting of debris so that all the roads could be cleared before July 31.
