Cut-offs for arts and commerce undergraduate courses in Delhi University this year went up marginally in most colleges, with Ramjas College topping the varsity's list with 99.25 per cent for B.Com (Hons).

The most sought-after course this year, with over 1.15 lakh applicants, English (Hons) saw a marginal increase in cut-offs in 17 colleges, while the cut-offs in 12 colleges were the same as last year. In seven colleges, the cut-offs declined in comparison to 2015.
Lady Shri Ram College for Women, which had the highest cut-off for English (Hons) last year with 98.25 per cent, was surpassed by Shri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College this time.

The Sikh minority college announced a cut-off of 98.75 per cent for English (Hons), while LSR's cut-off for the course remained at 98.25 per cent.
The second-most wanted course, with 98,294 applicants, B.A. (Programme) saw an increase in cut-offs in 24 colleges, while it remained the same as last year in 10 colleges. The cut-offs for the course dipped in four colleges. While LSR had the highest cut-off in the course with 97 per cent, there were substantial increase in Gargi College (from 85 to 91 per cent), Kirori Mal College (91 to 96.5 per cent) and P.G.D.A.V. College (80 to 85 per cent).
Meanwhile, Economics (Hons) cut-offs have largely remained the same or increased marginally. Of 31 colleges, the cut-offs went up by a minimum of 0.25 to a maximum of 3 points in 15 colleges. In 12 colleges, the cut-offs remained the same as last year. Four colleges saw a decrease in cut-offs. The highest cut-off for Economics was in Kalindi College with 98.5 per cent.
B.Com (Hons) saw a marginal increase in a majority of colleges, with Ramjas College recording the highest cut-off with 99.25 per cent. Last year, the highest cut-off was 98 per cent. For Political Science (Hons), LSR had the highest cut-off with 97.75 per cent. For Journalism (Hons), the cut-off was again the highest at LSR with 97.5 per cent.
