A young computer teacher was allegedly raped by a gang of six unidentified men and dumped at a railway track in west Delhi after she was abducted by them, police said today.

The incident was reported at around 8:30 pm near a private computer institute in Sultanpuri locality when the 20-year-old teacher and her male colleague were leaving the premises, a senior police official said.

A group of around six men had an argument with the teacher’s male colleague, who was badly beaten up by them. The gang also forcibly took the girl away and took turns to rape her, the official said. She is a resident of Sultanpuri.

However, there was a dispute between officials of Nangloi and Sultanpuri police stations over the jurisdiction of the case which is understood to have resulted in a delay in the initiation of investigations.
