The Census operation and preparation of the first-ever National Population Register in the Capital began on Saturday with enumeration of Lieutenant-Governor of Delhi Tejendra Khanna and his wife Uma Khanna by officials of the Directorate of Census Operations of Delhi and the Registrar-General and Census Commissioner of India at Raj Niwas here.

The L-G requested the residents of Delhi to take part in the Census operation and make the exercise a success.

The L-G said every individual would stand to benefit by taking part in this mammoth effort.
