3 held for killing guard

The Gautam Budh Nagar police have arrested three men for allegedly murdering a 40-year-old guard who was trying to resist a robbery attempt at a garment factory in Noida’s Sector 63. The trio was arrested from Kala Pather on National Highway-24 on Wednesday evening.

The police have recovered cash and weapons from the possession of the three — Shivam, Sunil Singh and Ranjit Verma. Two other men, Sitendra and Anmol, involved in the crime are absconding.

They had looted and killed a guard working at the Kimo Clothing factory. The accused were arrested following a tip-off.

“CCTV footage revealed that around 5 p.m. four men were consuming liquor in the guard’s room. They later they tied him up and allegedly shot him dead,” said Arun Kumar Singh, SP (city).
