“Hello! Listen it has been decided that we will pay token money to (Dinesh) Mohania ji at the place of your choice. Where do you people want it? Sarita Vihar or wherever – do tell us. Once you receive the token money, both of you will accompany us wherever we say till the time the mission will be completed. FINE...”

This translated transcript of Raghuvir Dahiya’s voice is from a phone call he allegedly made to AAP MLA Mr. Mohania’s aide Vivek Yadav.

This call was made hours after an alleged meeting between Delhi BJP vice-president Sher Singh Dagar and Mr. Mohania in which the former allegedly promised money and other perks in exchange for the AAP MLA abstaining during the trust vote.

Plan dropped

While releasing a video footage of the meeting, AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal said the party had initially planned that Mr. Mohania would take the money and produce it before the media along with the footage but fearing for his safety, decided against it.

In the video, Mr. Dagar and his close aide Mr. Dahiya are heard saying that if need be, they would hike the initially promised amount of Rs.4 crore to Rs.5 crore.

Mr. Dahiya also says that Rs.20 lakh would also be given to Mr. Yadav.

On Mr. Yadav’s query as to how the transaction would take place, Mr. Dagar can be heard saying: “Whichever way you want it will happen.”

Apprehensions raised

In the video, the BJP leader and his aide have also tried to answer questions in which the AAP leaders raise apprehensions on a possible detection while accepting money. This, Mr. Dagar and Mr. Dahiya say, could be taken care of by delivering the money.

“That is why I am saying that at the moment, you stay at home and nowhere else. In the evening, once you get the delivery, you spend the night with us after that. Your clothes and everything else will be arranged. Why take any risk, if we are caught for so little, everything will have to be cancelled,” Mr. Dagar is alleged to have told the AAP leaders.
