Worker from Rajasthan murdered, cash robbed

Two unidentified persons who gained entry into a house on Lingappa Chetty Street, gagged one of the two occupants and smothered to death the other to rob them of the Rs. 15 lakh they had. The incident happened on Thursday night.

According to the R.S. Puram Police, the two masked men entered Ravinder Singh’s and Kishore Singh’s house on the second floor of a building. This was around midnight. They first assaulted Ravinder Singh. They then gagged him.

The two then went in to smother Kishore Singh with a pillow. After making sure that he was dead, the two left the place with the Rs. 15 lakh, the money the two had collected as collection agents of cotton merchants Babu Singh and Shyam Sundar. The crime came to light when Mr. Sundar went to the Lingappa Chetty Street residence on Friday morning.
