Woman suffers burns, admitted to hospital

S. Kowsalya (25), of Kannampalayam near Sulur, has been admitted to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital with more than 60 per cent burns. She had told the police that the accident occurred when the kerosene stove fell and her clothes caught fire.

Jewellery missing

More than seven months after her jewellery went missing, G. Murugeswari (40) of Malayandipatty, near Rajapalayam, lodged a complaint with the police on Sunday. She told the police that she lost about 60 gm of jewellery kept in a bag when she went to Gandhimaa Nagar to attend a function at a relative’s place on June 3.

Probe begins

The Revenue Division Officer of Coimbatore S. Madhuranthagi has started probe into the death of two women found dead in the city on Sunday and Monday.

On Monday P. Devi (27) was found hanging at her house near Peelamedu.

S. Kamini (27) of Krishnagiri who lived with her husband on the NSR Road in Saibaba Colony was found dead on Sunday morning.
