Two more app-based cab services launched at railway station

Two more app-based cab services were launched at Coimbatore Railway Station on Sunday. Officials said that the two private cab services will be operated from the second gate of the station with entry access from Goods Shed Road.

Another major cab aggregator is already operating similar services from the main entrance of the station.

Hari Shankar Verma, Divisional Railway Manager, Salem Division, also formally dedicated the locomotive engine of the Nilgiri Mountain Railway (NMR) to the railway station which was installed near the main gate.

Along with Vashishta Johri, General Manager, Southern Railway, and A. Vijuvin, senior divisional commercial manager, Mr. Verma visited the pit line at the rear side of the station. They held talks with senior divisional mechanical engineer Vamsi Kanth and divisional mechanical engineer Nallamuthu Manickam on improving the functioning of pit line.
