Traffic diversion to aid flyover works at Eachanari

With the construction of a flyover started at Eachanari, the police have directed the public to follow traffic diversions with effect from Thursday.

Police have announced traffic diversions with effect from Thursday (November 15) to facilitate ongoing works for a flyover at Eachanari on Coimbatore-Pollachi Road.

Vehicles plying from Coimbatore to Pollachi will have to pass through Sundarapuram, LIC junction, and Sidco junction to take a right turn to Maduakkarai market road before reaching Eachanari temple. The vehicles can further get connected to Pollachi Road via L&T bypass or Malumichampatti road. Similarly, vehicles from Pollachi to Ukkadam should take a left turn to enter L&T bypass or Malumichampatti road before Eachanari to reach Madukkarai market road – L&T bypass junction. The vehicles should then pass via Pillayarpuram junction and Kamarajapuram junction to reach Sundarapuram and further proceed to other places.

The release has strictly appealed against movement of heavy vehicles on stretches of Pollachi Road where works for the flyover are going on. Meanwhile, the traffic diversion at Kinathukadavu will end in a couple of days, said an official of the National Highways Authority of India.
