Members of the Tamil Manila Congress on Friday staged a protest in front of the Coimbatore South Taluk office demanding total prohibition. Saravanakumar, the members urged the State Government to bring in total prohibition.

Liquor shops

Addressing the party cadre, Mr. Thangam said that ever since the Dravidian parties granted permission to open liquor shops in the State and took over the retailing business, hundreds of families had faced penury; youth had lost their lives and the State was on the path of ruin.
