Divisional Railway Manager of Salem Division Sujatha Jayaraj inspected the Coimbatore Railway Junction on Wednesday. Accompanied by Additional Divisional Railway Manager P. Kalimuthu, Station Manager D. Chandrasekaran and senior railway engineers, Ms. Sujatha inspected the parking facilities, VIP lounge and AC waiting hall. She enquired with passengers about the cleanliness on the premises, toilet facilities, response at the passenger enquiry counter, quality of food and beverages available on platforms.

She sought details from the officials about the non-functioning of kiosks and asked them to repair them at the earliest. Ms. Sujatha visited the ticket counter on the eastern side of the station, which had issued only 12 tickets in the morning.

She asked the officials to take steps to open the counter through out the day, instead of three hours a day.
