Special buses for Pongal from Coimbatore Division

The Coimbatore Division of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (TNSTC) will be operating 464 special buses from Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode and Ooty from January 9 to 18 to manage the rush during the Pongal holidays.

These buses are in addition to regular buses operated by the division.A total of 187 of these special buses will be operated from Coimbatore Region.

This includes eight buses to Chennai, 66 to Madurai, 48 to Tiruchi, 24 to Salem, 25 to Theni and 16 to Ooty. As many as 126 buses will be operated from Tirupur Region. This includes six buses to Chennai, 40 to Madurai, 24 to Theni, 32 to Tiruchi and 24 to Salem.

 Erode Region will be operating 148 special buses. It includes nine buses to Chennai, 24 to Madurai, 24 to Tiruchi, 33 to Salem, 32 to Coimbatore and 26 buses from Coimbatore to Salem. Three buses will be operated from Ooty to Chennai. Special buses are also operated by other division of the TNSTC to destinations in this division during the festival season.
