SIHMA to assist new entrepreneurs

Special camp to be held from March 19 to 21

The South India Hosiery Manufacturers Association (SIHMA) has been selected by Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI), Chennai, as ‘mentor’ for the implementation of the ‘New Entrepreneurship Development and Cluster Awareness’ programme in Tirupur knitwear cluster.

A release from SIHMA said that as ‘mentor’, the Association would be involved in assisting new entrepreneurs and support them in availing of various financial assistances from under the government-sponsored schemes.

SIHMA president A. C. Eswaran said that a ‘Common Facility Centre’ (CFC) would be coming up as part of the project to provide training to entrepreneurs on upgrading technology, marketing, capacity building, lean management practices and brand promotion.

As a prelude to the formation of the CFC, the SIHMA would hold a special camp for new and young entrepreneurs from March 19 to 21.
