‘Remit road tax before April 10'

Deputy Transport Commissioner – Coimbatore Circle K.N. Uthayanun has announced that collection of road tax for vehicles has begun from March 26 and public are advised to remit the same before April 10 on working days between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.

Mr. Uthayanun said that vehicle owners are requested to remit the taxes at the respective RTOs. Taxes remitted after April 10 would attract penalty. Vehicle owners are expected to bring the vehicle along with original registration certificate, valid insurance certificate and valid pollution under control certificate. In the event of the vehicle is 15 years old from registration date, the owners should remit green tax and bring the vehicle for inspection to get the RC renewed for another five years. In case of green tax remittance already done, then the vehicles should be produced for inspection and get it renewed for another five years.
