The Confederation of Real Estate Developers’ Association of India, Coimbatore chapter, will organise the sixth edition of Fairpro, its property exhibition, at Codissia Trade Fair Complex here from August 1 to 3.

Rajesh B. Lund, president of the association, said the event will have details of properties in the price range of Rs. 20 lakh to Rs. 3 crore each.

Over 30 developers will take part, apart from six financial institutions. Some of the properties are in projects coming up in Chennai and Bengaluru. There are details of projects offering commercial space too.

At Fairpro held in Chennai this year, there were more than 200 spot bookings and the business generated was to the tune of Rs. 260 crore. In an effort to encourage spot booking during the exhibition in Coimbatore, the organisers have come out with special schemes.

Banks will have zero per cent processing charges, developers will offer two per cent interest subvention for two years and free ipad will be given to those who make spot booking of properties priced above Rs. 40 lakh and make a payment during the three days of the expo. Customers can even pay through credit cards, he said.

“This is the best time buy properties,” he added. Land prices and construction costs have not come down here. Unsold units in completed projects are few in number. Coimbatore has been identified for the smart city project. Hence, it is poised for growth and investment in infrastructure, he said.
