Passport mela on May 16

The Coimbatore Regional Passport Office will hold ‘passport mela’ on May 16 for the benefit of residents of Coimbatore, Salem, Erode, Namakkal, Tirupur and the Nilgiris.

A release from the Regional Passport Officer S. Sasikumar said that the office would hold the mela at the Passport Service Kendra, 25, AGT Business Park on Avinashi Road.

The officers would accept applications for issue of ordinary international passport with 10 year validity under the normal course with usual documentation.

Applicants who had registered online and had obtained ARN could take appointments for the day and visit the Kendra at the time given, it added.

Only those who had obtained appointment would be allowed and only their applications would be processed. Tatkaal and issue of police clearance certificate applications would not be accepted on the day. No walk-in applications would be accepted, either.
