New bus service flagged off

A new bus service from Town Hall to Gandhipuram via the Air Force Administrative College in the city was flagged off on Sunday. The bus service was flagged off by Mayor S.M. Velusamy, AIADMK MLA R. Duraisamy, who represents Coimbatore South Constituency, and Air Commodore M.S.G. Menon, Commandant, Air Force Administrative College.

The service is expected to benefit retired air officials and defence personnel who frequent the Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ESCHS) Polyclinic and the (6) Air Force Hospital, sources said.

The representatives of the Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Coimbatore, also took part in the function,
