Immigration services go online in Tirupur

Hotel owners asked to report the stay details of foreigners within 24 hours of their check-in

The immigration services have gone online in Tirupur district, according to press statement issued by the district police on Friday.

Subsequent to it, the police conducted a sensitisation programme for people operating hotels, hospitals, educational institutions and guesthouses on the new procedures to be followed for the arrival and departure of the foreigners.

S.A. Vijayakumar, the Scientist-C and Senior System Analyst, National Informatics Centre, and S. Surjeeth Jeevan, the Assistant Immigration Officer, Bureau of Immigration, Government of India, spoke on the aspects related to registration, visa extension and other services to the foreigners through the online mode.

The hotel, hospital, college and guesthouse owners were trained on how to submit arrival report of the foreigners through C-Forms and S-Forms available online.

The hotel owners were directed to report the occupancy details of the foreigners online within 24 hours of their check-in.
