Transformer damaged

A 20ft high wall fell on a transformer at Peelamedu on Thursday.

An official of the Tangedco said that when the wall collapsed, the feeder tripped and hence, only the equipment (transformer) was damaged.

Tangedco officials have been regularly checking, and replace damaged poles. As part of the pre-monsoon precautionary measures, all the electricity poles in the city were checked last month. Citizens can inform the Tangedco officials if there are damaged poles in their area, the official said.
