A 75-year-old farmer died of suspected swine flu at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital on Sunday.

According to sources, he was admitted to a private hospital here about a fortnight ago. As his fever did not subside and he developed severe headache and throat pain, the doctors conducted blood tests and ascertained that he suffered from swine flu. They later shifted him to the government hospital, where he was quarantined and monitored closely by doctors.
