Exhibition of kolu dolls under way in Erode

Ahead of the Navaratri festival celebrations, a special exhibition-cum-sale of kolu dolls is in progress at the Tamil Nadu Handicrafts Development Corporation’s Poompuhar showroom on Mettur Road here.

An array of dolls including kolu sets, Kondapalli dolls, dolls made of papier mache, mud, marble, dolls of various varieties, sizes and colours from different parts of the State are on display.

The price of dolls starts from ₹ 50 to over ₹ 10,000. Showroom officials said that a rebate of 10% was offered on all the purchases in the exhibition that would be on till the festival. The showroom is open from 9.30 a.m. every day.
