Dr. Mahalingam College of Engineering and Technology and Nachimuthu Polytechnic College, Pollachi, through their extension arms have begun a computer training class for students at the Panchayat Union Elementary School in Kanjampatty Panchayat, said a release from the college.
Awareness
The class, aimed at creating awareness among students, will teach them to understand the internet, browse through the web, use social networking sites and ways to gather information.

The parent-teacher association president S. Soundararajan inaugurated the training programme.
The school teachers, NIA education institutions’ project officer S. Nagarajan and others participated at the inauguration.
